Stagehand is a charity that supports UK-based live event production workers at times of serious illness, injury, and industry catastrophe.
In 2023, as the immense pressures of post-pandemic touring continue to build, Stagehand continues to actively fundraise through meaningful campaign work.
We are so grateful for this kind of support which unites all aspects of live music culture - from the artist to the backstage workers and music fans.
The collection includes signed set lists from Paul McCartney, Ed Sheeran, this year’s BRIT Awards ‘Best New Artist’ and ‘Group of the Year’ winners, Wet Leg, and ‘Best Alternative / Rock Act’ winners The 1975 to name just a few.
Details of this Crowdfunder prize draw to be announced soon.
At Stagehand, we believe in the power of compassion and support for our fellow live event production workers. For over 25 years, we have been the beacon of hope for those facing serious illness, injury, and industry catastrophe. Our mission is to provide a safety net for those who have dedicated their careers to creating unforgettable experiences for millions of people across the UK.
Since 1998 Stagehand has been at the forefront of the industry's welfare. We understand the unique challenges faced by live event production workers and strive to alleviate their burden during times of need. From touring crew members to technical and creative production workers, our charity has supported thousands of individuals in navigating tough times and overcoming obstacles.
Initially established to assist PSA members, former members, and their dependents who were unable to work through illness or injury, our charity has evolved to encompass everyone working in live event production.
We are proud to have raised over £1.8 million for our COVID-19 Crew Relief Fund with the help of artists, bands, management companies, agents, promoters, record companies, royalty collection agencies, and other industry institutions. Thanks to their generosity, we were able to award around 3,000 grants to help industry workers keep a roof over their heads and food on the table.
At Stagehand, we believe that good mental health is crucial for everyone, especially those working in live event production. That's why, since 2017, we have also funded Mental Health First Aid Training courses for those interested in developing their welfare skills to help themselves and their peers.
As we move into 2023, the immense pressures of post-pandemic touring continue to build. At Stagehand, we recognise the ongoing challenges faced by our industry and continue to actively fundraise through meaningful campaign work. Our mission remains steadfast: to support those who have dedicated their lives to the live event production industry and provide them with the care and compassion they deserve. Join us in making a difference in the lives of those who have given so much to bring joy to others.
